The Story

A delicate blend of traditional Palestinian ingredients combined with distinct local flavours. Oregano and thyme provide the classic aromatic base along with toasted sesame, caraway and fennel for an earthy depth. To this we’ve added feijoa for its bright acidity and subtle astringency along with native kawakawa for its grassiness and a unique numbing tingle unlike any other za’atar.

The result is a herbal, tangy, tingly and delicious- a true fusion flavour and tradition.
Serve with olive oil & flatbread, swirl through hummus or sprinkle over roasted chicken and vegetables.

 

 Toasted sesame, oregano, feijoa (8%), sumac, kawakawa (5%), coriander, cumin, thyme, chilli, fennel, carraway. Contains sesame.

MANAKISH - Brush flatbread with olive oil and sprinkle generously with za’atar.

HUMMUS - Swirl za’atar and olive oil into hummus for extra flavour.

CHEESE SCONES - Sprinkle over a warm cheese scone with a drizzle of hot honey.

CHEESE BOARD - Pair with bread, olive oil and labneh on your next platter.

GRILLED HALLOUMI - Dust grilled halloumi with za’atar and a squeeze of lemon.

ROAST CHICKEN - Rub chicken with olive oil and za’atar before roasting.

ROAST VEGETABLES - Toss root vegetables or cauliflower with za’atar after roasting.

FRIES - Toss hot fries with za’atar and sea salt for a tangy, herby twist.
